STOP BEING STUPID
That is New York Times columnist Bob Herbert slogan for the year which is most apt for the year 2009 ever since the multiple whammy of the sub-prime crisis, failing bank crisis, failing automobile manufacturer crisis, recession, possibly depression, etc., hit the once great US of A.
Bob Herbert: "I’ve got a new year’s resolution and a new slogan for the country. Stop Being Stupid."
That is a call for Americans to be frugal and to put away the excesses of the extravagant throw-away society.
